The Return of the Teen Zone

Back to school means back to the Teen Zone.  Come visit us after school and relax and recharge!  We have computers available so you can do your homework plus games and movies so you can unwind!  Open every day when school is in session from 2-4pm.

College 360

Saturday, January 20, 11:00 -12:30

This program will prepare teens for the college application process. Topics addressed will include making the most of your high school career, getting involved in after school activities, pre-college programs, finding the right fit for college, and the common application. A question and answer period will follow.

Fred Schoenfeld Scholarship Meeting

College bound Westbury High School students are eligible for the Fred Schoenfeld scholarship.  Find out more about this unique opportunity on Tuesday, January 23rd from 7 – 8 pm.  Snacks will be served, please register at the front desk.

DIY Friday in the Teen Zone

Come to the Teen Zone on Fridays and Do It Yourself!  From back to school crafts to homemade snacks, we’ve got fun for everyone.

Coding For Kids

Wednesdays: January 17, 24, and 31, 6:00 – 7:30

Get started with computer programming! In this 3-part course you will learn the fundamentals of programming, the specifics of Python, and work on a number of hands on projects to get you the experience that will help you jump start your adventure into the realm of technology. Students must be Carle Place/Westbury residents in grades 6 – 8 to register. All registration will be take place at the Adult Library and space is limited.
